HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO MY HUBBY!! We have been married 3 years today! I love you!!!
now... on with the vacation.
Tennessee COLORS... not that I'm a fan but we are in Tennessee.
Last night was so much fun! We went to Opry Mills Mall... its about 15 minutes from Downtown, but totally worth it. I was like a mall, outlet mall, theater, IMAX, FOOD Central. It has TONS of huge restaurants in it. Rainforest Cafe, The Aquarium (where you eat around massive tanks filled with fish), Tony Rama's, Chili's, and tons more. We chose Rainforest Cafe b/c we thought Reece would enjoy it. We were seated in the Gorilla room which Reece was fine with. It was the thunderstorms that come and go in the Rainforest Cafe that scared him to death. Luckly, there was only one thunderstorm while we were there but that set him in. He hid his face in my shoulder/neck and wouldnt look up for nothing. HA!! This was Reece's favorite Gorilla... he hung from the tree and swang when they started talking.
And this is him after the thunderstorm. HA!
This morning we slept till 8:30 then got up and around to do the Tourist thing. Kerry didnt go to his conference this morning b/c the classes didnt interest him much. So we ate breakfast at our hotel Starbucks out in the plaza. It was nice and yummy.
Kerry drinking his Caramel Maciato
Reece not eating or drinking HIS food but mine.
Me chewing my food... thanks Ker!
Then we went to the State Capital of Tennessee. It's so much smaller then ours but really pretty inside. We went inside the governor's office and got our pamplets SEALED with the state seal. It was cool! Kerry loved it more then Reece and I but that comes from working for a governor of Arkansas for years. Here are some pics of that....
Reece had to walk up the steps on his own. So I stayed behind to catch him everytime he fell... and he did a few times. :)
Reece pretending to be the Supreme Court Judge. This is the podium in the Supreme Court Room.
Then from there we went to Centennial Park to see the full size replaca of THE PARTHENON in Greece. It was very nice... we did the tour too but we could have done without it. We even got to see the full size replaca of ATHENA the Goddess of wisdom... it was really pretty. I learned alot too... did you know she was born from her father's head?? HAHAHAHA!! I loved hearing all about her and her statue was really pretty. Kerry says it's probably the closest we will ever get to Athens, Greece... who knows though.
The Goddess ATHENA
Her shield... it was very pretty.
Daddy and Reece in front of the Parthenon.
After that we went and looked and some ducks and geese in the water at the park. But Reece was tired so we headed out. We stopped by Checkers (aka: Rallys) for lunch and set in line for over 30 mins. Ugg! Kerry was late to his conference and Reece fell asleep in the car for about 20 mins and wont take a nap now. So pictures tonight will be horrible of him b/c he will be completely moody. We are going to Joe's Crab Shack for supper. Its my favorite place to eat at when we go on vacation. Im so excited! I love CRAB LEGS!!! More pics tomorrow and we head home around 6pm tomorrow night. We should be getting home between 12 and 1am. Fun times!
